Etienne Salborn was born and raised in Berlin, Germany and first came to Uganda in 2006 to volunteer in the Kankobe Children’s Home for a year. Seeing orphans, who could not continue school because of their marginal situation made him found the NGO Jangu e.V., a sponsorship program for marginalized young people. In 2013 together with the first sponsored high school graduates of Jangu e.V., he created the ideas behind SINA and started implementing it.
